Langstme, de Derde Triënnale van Beetsterzwaag

Ash Kilmartin (1986, New Zealand) makes sculpture, sound and performance work, often collaborating with others on broadcast and publication projects. During her residency at SYB she sought out typical Frisian ‘klokkenstoelen’ (open, stand-alone belfry structures), connecting the history of these local vernacular structures to her ongoing interests in the human voice and medieval allegory.
