Inge Meijer (1986, Beverwijk) worked on ‘Community Garden’ during her residency at Kunsthuis SYB; a project in which she is researching how we can use public space – which is now reserved for cars – for gardens that everyone can use. Inge’s works take the viewer to a familiar environment that still feels strange. The focus is on the uneasy relationship between man and his environment. An environment that lives and breathes, but that people are constantly trying to manipulate.
